AN EARTHQUAKE ROCKS PETALBURG CITY. As the first of the shaking begins to subside, a violent SANDSTORM whips into the city. As ancient grit and stone batter tired trainers and their Pokemon, eerie beacons of light spear through the sands. These lights flicker sporadically and are parsed by 's REGICE:[break]

Those who have encountered this Pokemon before would be able to immediately unveil the creature's identity, though the voice is deeper due to its enlarged size. In particular, will realize that this is the REGIROCK that she, , and had encountered in deep within Area Zero. During its subsequent tussle with TING-LU and the RUINOUS QUARTET, the REGIROCK had torn away with a touch of a poisoned star and the plague of perpetual peril.[break][break]

The SANDSTORM is too thick to discern where the REGIROCK is. Attempting to track allies or enemies is an exercise in frustrating futility too, for this ancient sea of sand is an impartial swarm. However, if one were to track the position of its SEVEN EYES, they may be able to assume that the titan is slowly lifting itself out of a crevasse in the ground.[break][break]

It is clear too... that this giant is larger than usual. Clouds of DYNERGY can be seen flitting in and out of the sands.[break][break]

"gahahaha! now that's what i'm talking about! into the fray, lads! no time for cowardice here!" The voice of Kanto's Rocket Boss can be heard through the storm, one that can be clearly recognize by . "we'll take the city and this brute too!"[break][break]

Through the sands, LARGE BOULDERS ARE THROWN. Several collide with unsuspecting trainers and their Pokemon, leaving them as splattered marks on the ground.[break][break]

Unbeknownst to the League, they fight in memory of the fallen in midst the rubble of Petalburg. The return of the deadly giant splits motivations and attention. Can the REGIROCK be dealt with on this stained, scorched battlefield? Can all survive while trickery dances in the all-consuming grit? Or will all fall to the might of this crucial pillar of planetary defense?

Regirock rose from the earth. Oh, how it creaked and groaned in pain as the titan pushed it apart. Tectonics groaned as swaths of civilization disappeared into the uncaring maw of the void.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Admin Fox's visor offered relief from the pitter-patter of sand granules the size of pebbles and boulders the size of mountains. While his recently enhanced Sygna Suit offered much protection, few Pokémon in Hoenn had as vicious a streak as the stone golem that caused mountains to crack and bend.

Why, then, did it offer him little relief from the sounds raging in his mind?

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud.

Any stones that threatened the admin were blocked by the icebound god that answered to him and him alone.

This is a fortuitous affair. The League was stuck between Regirock from the east and the rapidly approaching Regice from the west. Each colossal step brought Regice closer to its fellow construct. A rock and a hard place, indeed. 's 'sacrifice' was a noble one, but it would not stop his comrades in arms from being crushed between the hammer and anvil.

"Monroe!" The admin's voice was a roar. "We can stall it. We can win! We are on the very cusp of victory!"

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. Screaming. Nineteen people dead in Dewford. How many were dead here?

The sounds of footsteps rang in his mind. Dewford flashed in his mind. The city had been burned to the ground by one Legendary Giant and by Howard's own folly. Was Petalburg going to follow? When they had the chance to stop it?

No.

Not again.

The cycle would not continue. They could break it here. Besides, he had an obligation to Walsh to fulfill. Months of chasing this thing in Area Zero and months of clashing with it had taught him much. Talking with and training with had taught him more.

It was time to put his abilities to the test. This stone golem would not rise from its chasm.

"YOU."

As Regirock rose from the earth, a Max Knuckle from Regice crashed against the rising titan. Dynergy barriers sizzled and sparked. Regice raised another fist to strike it again. The admin followed the seven dots, each burning with the fervor of a dying star. Regice knew where its sibling was.

Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud. The sounds kept ringing out. How restless his mind was.

It would not let up the fight. Seven dots became fourteen as Regice pinged its fellow construct, the Wishing Star within it beating in synchronization with its sibling.

With the earth shaken and dust caking the area, Himiko emerged from the treeline covering her mouth. The Salandit clutching onto her shoulder would seek shelter in the back of her neck where her hime cut was covering. her. "Ugh, what's going on?!" she yelled into her half broken transmitter. Her collapse onto the ground must have broken in. Static and fuzz intermixed with garbled voices were all that answered her. She groaned and shoved it back into her belongings before continuing to push through the sandstorm.

Then she heard it. A voice that she hadn't heard in ages. One which caused her entire body to fill with X. "Boss?!" The woman gasped, her eyes cutting through the incoming sandstorm. "He's here? I-If I can find him, maybe I can...I need to get through this dust storm." Himiko held an arm up to shield her eyes, and began to move in the direction where she had heard the Rocket's deep shout. All things considered it was a pretty insane plan, but it was the only real goal she had as of now.

"Can't see a damn thing out here." she groaned, forcing her legs to continue.

The quake of all quakes rocked Andrea’s entire world. A raging sandstorm kicked up, forcing her to squint her eyes. Despite her impaired vision, there was no mistaking those flashing dots and that distinct, robotic cry.

“Regirock?!” The draconic cosplayer bared her fangs in anger. Why did that thing show up now of all times? Was she not allowed a singular moment to grieve, to bury her loved one?
[break][break]
“P-pon!” Ogerpon cried, getting buffeted by the sandstorm.
[break][break]
“Stay close to me!” Andrea wrapped her arms protectively around the child-sized ogre, before withdrawing the rest of her party. “Meatloaf, Missy, return!” All except Aggron, whose typing allowed it to survive the harsh weather without a hitch.
[break][break]
Being in such close proximity made them susceptible to the ancient titan’s rocky barrage, but Barron stood his ground, shielding himself and his trainer from the rain of boulders with a well-timed Protect.

The people around them were not so lucky. The young PokéManiac saw, to her horror, many get crushed into oblivion. The girl covered her ears so that she wouldn’t have to hear their blood-curdling death throes.

“Stop! Leave this town alone! Go away! GO AWAY!!” She yelled at the emerging colossus, but she knew it wouldn’t listen. Just like hadn’t listened. No-one ever listened.

Had they listened, her other half would still be alive…

Aaron and his Trevenant ended up at the beach near Petalburg, with having spotted him and flown towards them before the sandstorm started. Having erected a small fort of logs via Horn Leech, Trevenant also set out to creating a splint with his powers. Including using half-baked Leech Seeds to hold the splint in place. The nurse had mentioned something about looking at his Gengar, so Ace, through tears, released it for her to look at. Even he knew better than to continue fighting like this.


"Once you get done looking at Gengar, we need to get going. My home is in Littleroot, so we should there via Oldale Town. Phantom Force only really works when the Pokemon knows the terrain. With that massive earthquake and the sandstorm, who knows how much has changed. I'd hesitate going by air considering what just happened..." If Rocket has air superiority, trying to stay in it would be difficult at best. Plus, with the sandstorm, they'd only look like shadows, and thus "friendly" fire could happen. Staying on the ground seemed like the least dangerious option for now. Aaron returned his ace and waited, now that his arm was stabilized. It still hurt like hell, but he was toughing it out, his face stoic save for the tears from the pain.


TLDR

Trevenant used Horn Leech to create a small fort for cover against the sandstorm. Also created a splint with it and Leech Seed to hold it in place, the seeds not having hardly any power in them, just enough to keep them from rotting right away.
had found them before the sandstorm and flown over, is taking a look at Gengar.
Aaron emphasizes a need to leave, mentions his home is in Littleroot. 
Trevenant is returned once his arm is stabilized.

Their escape from the Petalburg General Hospital’s ruins from the building being struck from an air raid would take her and her knight to the nearest medical station. There was no doubt that the Rocket that they battled with would follow them there since he would have unfinished business with the two of them. Most of her Pokemon were not out while two of her Pokemon: a Gengar and the Calyrex shard, would remain by her side while she bandages Cadeyrn’s arm wound at the medical station.[break][break]

Her arm would be bandaged too after she puts pressure on the bleeding of her beloved’s arm. In between the quakes, she tries to balance the makeshift leaves created cot too. Kage the Gengar creates a barrier with Protect to shield both of them against the sandstorm and the boulders.[break][break]

“I put pressure on the wound, so you won’t bleed out from the bandages.” She says to the red-headed knight. Though the hospital was gone, the ambassador luckily carried a first aid kit with her at all times for situations like these. [break][break]

“You’ve held my hand when we escaped, did you?” A small blush comes onto the princess’ pale face when she remembers that he holds her hand in his when she directed her to the medical station itself.[break][break]

The Type:Null slowly emerged from the forest, its head low as the sandstorm buffeted its body. Its low growling was difficult to hear among the storm, and its head turned from side to side, looking around for something.

Something to fight.

Hideo sat upon its back, clinging to its collar. His Sygna Suit helped protect him from the Sandstorm, but it did nothing to heal what had already been dealt: there was a visible trail of dried blood from his nose to his collar, and the burn on one of his palms stung badly.

He did little else but cling to his Pokemon; his head was still a haze, his thoughts scattered. He could only rely on his own senses now to determine what was going on, and a lack of focus made it hard to put the details together.

So all he could do was hold on, and hope he could get through this intact.

Exiting Petalburg Woods after fighting some Rockets alongside and
Hideo got a bit of head hurty during the fight (thanks, Shadow Alakazam)

Gunner stumbled as the ground shook again, a massive boulder tumbling past him as the sandstorm thickened. He dug his heels into the soil and adjusted his grip on 's unconscious body. Nearby, his Typhlosion carried Jack's unconscious Sirfetch'd in her jaws as she picked her way through the rubble. [break][break]

"Medic!" Gunner shouted, hoping someone would hear him over the repeating, resonating cries of the colossal shadow emerging from the ground. "We need a medic!" [break][break]

Dynergy swirled around him, familiar thanks to forays in the Ultra Deep Sea and clashes with titans in the desert. Sickening in its cloying embrace. He gritted his teeth against it and hobbled on, pure adrenaline keeping the pain of his leg injury at bay. But for how long? [break][break]

Initially, El's intentions had been to try and get to Petalburg General - to try and see if there were any surviving stragglers in need of aid. But the sandstorm and boulders brought on by Regirock's emergence would force them to the ground. "It's not safe - we're gonna have to land, Isaac!" They called to him - keeping their brother in the loop, as Bibidi and Akero both descend to the ground.

Though the earth tremors, it's safer down here than in the air - much easier to take cover from the inclement weather. For a moment, as El leans into their cane, they debate whether to keep Bibidi or Akero out...

"Medic!"

... But a cry for help - carried upon the howling winds, just audible enough over the rumbles around them - makes their decision. They recall Bibidi, before looking over in the direction of the voice. "Over here!" They shout, Akero joining in with a high and keening whistle as the two move for and both. "We can help!"

Once joined up with the two, El is quick to help with manhandling Jack, even if one hand is occupied by their cane. Akero, meanwhile, joins in with offering the group a Life Dew, sprinkling healing waters over the lot of them.

They glance to - and for a moment, they are hesitant to ask his help, when he's so exhausted already. But, they at least ask "Help me look him and his pokemon over?" so that he had something to do, and didn't try to force himself into further exhaustion.
TLDR/NOTES:
- At N4 after being forced to land w Togekiss from the sandstorm/boulders, and after having heard calling for a medic. El uses a cane.
- Togekiss uses Life Dew on , , and both of their pokemon to help perk everyone up.
- El helps Gunner manhandle Jack, and asks for help looking Jack + Sirfetch'd over, in hopes that with something to do Isaac doesn't try to push himself doing something more exerting.

Sand. Sand everywhere. It seems like the lesson with , going to the Ultra Desert and to The Desert as the titans raged has been all leading to this.

And in this sandstorm, she also loses sight of and against her better tries. "Fuck," Cass swears under her breath, shaking as she buries her hands and fingers into Effie's plumage. Her Talonflame's resilient even amidst the sandstorm. "Jon, Martin, go back for now." Martin's Grassy Terrain has healed them up some, but for now- she isn't sure if it's a good idea to have them out now.

Azelf took on the form of a Ralts once more, and she keeps it close, or it might be blown away - probably not, but who knows, really.

"What in the world is going on ..." She stares with horror at the seven lights, seemingly. Seemingly emerging from the ground below.

Still, not her house ... just her home.

It was a close call, but Airi and Aaron were able to escape the unexpected earthquake in Petalburg City. The Ranger Nurse and the young trainer were able to find a somewhat safe spot to rest and develop their next game plan. She is grateful that Aaron agreed to let her tend to his Gengar due to its current condition from their previous battle against . For a few seconds, she finds herself wondering what may have become of the masked grunt before she shifts her attention back towards the Gengar. She was able to relief a decent amount of its health, but she needs a little extra assistance from her Latte, her Shiny Gardevoir. Airi summons her elegant and graceful Psychic/Fairy-type from her orb then requests her to use her Heal Pulse to restore Gengar back to its full health. The Shiny Gardevoir extends her arms out towards the Ghost/Poison-type, releasing pink pulse of energy from her hands to heal her target. After Latte is finish with treating the Gengar, Airi returns her inside of her orb just in case she will need to use her healing powers in the future.

Airi nods her head at Aaron's plan. It sounds feasible to her and the two of them do not have too much more time to sit around and develop a more detailed plan at the moment. "My Swampert should be able to help use brave the sandstorm," she tells him. The sandstorm will not harm Bean and it will allow him to create a shield to cover them by using Protect. Airi's deep blue eyes slowly shifts towards Aaron and his arm. She reaches inside of her first-aid kit to grab a bottle of pain killers and a bottle of fresh water to give to him. "Here, take these. You are going to need them," she tells him, pouring a couple of pain killers in the palm of his hand. She waits for him to toss them back inside of his mouth before opening the fresh water for him, then passing it over to him.

Airi packs up her first aid kit, then slides it back inside of her backpack before tossing it over her shoulders. She retrieves Bean's Poke Ball and releases him. "Bean, we need your protection and guidance," she expresses to her Swampert. Bean nods his head then sets up a Protect as he takes charge and leads them along the path. As long as Airi and Aaron remain behind him, then no harm should come to them from the sandstorm. [break][break]

A few Heal Pulses and a bandage later saw Gigi on her way from the makeshift medic tent outside the ruins of Petalburg Hospital. What was once a scattering of sand whips into a full-blown sandstorm, and by the time she leaves the tent laden with medical supplies in her Glastrier's saddle bags.

The cry for a medic in the storm turns the woman and her mount westwards and it's there she spies a small group of people. Slipping from the Glastrier, Gigi peers for a moment at the work has done before asserting, "I will wake him."

She digs through her bags and pulls up with a small kit. Kneeling down, she shields best she can as she digs through and pulls out a small pen. He needed to be awake and be awake now - things were too dangerous.

"He will jerk," she warns a nearby Gunner before slamming an epi pen into Jack's thigh and depressing the button.

No beast is as noisy as man.

Rowdy shouts and panicked cries pass uneasily through the sandstorm. By the grace of those seven eyes rising higher into the air, these love letters to a war find their paramours perhaps now, perhaps in due time.

A hand appears from the storm to grab onto the upper arm of —pulling her roughly away from the crash of stone into the ground next to them that throws a spray of dirt and grass.

Hawkins releases her wordlessly afterwards, resuming his path through the storm. Pink flashes of light flicker around him, and by extension Himiko, if she chooses to join—the source of which is the worried chikorita pausing to paw at her leg, apologetic that a rebound off of its REFLECT had nearly pancaked the woman.

And yet she is safe, sheltered from the howling winds as the beast carries her through this storm. She will be kept safe, for as long as their promises still remain standing.[break][break]

The permeating scent of ashes and the clacking of rubble. In this storm, she can still remain ignorant to the fate that has befallen her city, drifting in and out of consciousness with every piercing scream and wail that prickles at her skin.[break][break]

If only the pixie that sits beside her would allow her to close her eyes and be done with this mess. Instead they prod at her cheek, sharply chirping at Suicune as if telling them to go faster. Thanks to Reiner, she had been spared the brunt of the attacks, but she is still in a relatively horrible state. Riddled with fresh burns, taking in slow breaths as her eyes sting with tears and her throat aches.[break][break]

A rather ugly sight for when they finally pull up to what remains of Petalburg General. Suicune does not slow his steps until he is right by his chosen's side, the sea of voices briefly sparking life in the girl as her eyes flutter open. Unable to focus on anything, her gaze wanders, lost until it latches onto familiar faces.[break][break]

There's an injured and someone tending to an unconscious . Even through the haze of her mind, she still has some capability of piecing what must've happened here. And even with Mesprit worriedly chittering away, she's certain that she can hear him -[break][break]
